Time Passes

Well another month is almost over. It hasn't been the most peaceful month even though it is the shortest. But a new month with new things to think about and a chance to change some of last months failures. A change in temperatures and weather conditions for the better would be possible. We can only hope and pray. A little more daylight with more time to be outside can only be an improvement.

Politics At Its Worse

Right now the state of Wisconsin is seeing politics at its worse. No one is listening to the other side. I'm ashamed of the elected men and women and I wish I could treat them like I did my sons when they were young. Send them all to bed and make them stay there until they can act like they had sense. People from the outside are coming to the state. None are without faults.

Cradle

Yesterday while checking thrift shops I saw a old wooden cradle. It had a gentle rocking motion and a solid mattress covered in brown material. I loved it and thought what a shame it was there.
To me it represented love and caring for a baby. Not fancy,no net, no metal, no bright paint just comfort and safety. But it seems today that old things don't mean much. You have to be modern colorful and not necessarily safe. It has to wind up and rock or swing automatic. Many don't seem to have the time to gently rock a baby.
Old and elderly don't get the respect they used to get. Now to get respect you have to go along with the ways of the young. They made it this far and they know what is right for them. The fact that we made it that far awhile ago doesn't enter their minds. We know of pit falls they can't even know exist.

Valentines Day

I hope everyone with someone there close to let them know it today. Those three little words do mean alot. In this world it is a shame we need a day so people can say it without feeling strange. We need more love expressed in this world.

Super Bowl

Well, the Packers won. I am happy for the team. And I am happy for the city of Green Bay. This is one of the smallest cities but there is a history with the team and Chicago Bears in the very beginning of the football league. It is still a business and I don't always like that part of it.

Checking In

I am dealing with strange weather for weeks now. Now my sister who lives 1,100 miles south of me has weather like me. I am hoping she gets back to normal soon. Tonight our temps were the same.:o( I am more or less used to it but they are not. I am not used to their warm summers with the 100 degrees days.
I am chilling, not fighting any battles. Not letting anything or anyone get to me. Like I said on Facebook-A battle not fought means NO winners or losers.
Tonight a little girl came to my door and asked if I wanted to buy some delicious cookies? I asked her did she guaranty they would be delicious and she replied yes right away. Girl Scout cookies time has arrived. I remember selling them over 64 years ago. She had a smile on her face and it was a fine time for me and I can look forward to sometime in March when they come.
The Super Bowl has thousands of dollars being spent. It is a big deal. The news in Egypt and a little nine year old girl being shot by her brother last night and going to school today where a teacher noticed she had a problem seemed almost to take second place. Strange!!!
Hope everyone has a great week ahead and says a prayer for peace.
